You love the chase, not the man. The challenge is overwhelming and conquering it provides a sense of accomplishment in your abilities. In other words, it boosts your ego. Once you caught your prey and the chase has ended, you no longer care for the baggage it brings along with it.

You are not alone. Unfortunately so many girls feel the same way. It is usually related to a father that does not care enough - which is the typical father- and you are the little girl who tries to get his attention. The man who seems does not care represents your father, ergo you do everything to get his attention. When he responds, it cannot fit into your dynamics, so you cannot love him.
Unfortunately it would not stop if you don't seek for professional help. You will stay unhappy since you cannot be in love and be loved at the same time.

That initial feeling of attraction rarely lasts long into a relationship, you'd do well not to rely on that. If marriage is your end goal, you're not going to beable to build a stable relationship based on the feeling of attraction alone.

I'm sorry to say, but where the emotional complexities of a relationship are concerned, there is no uniformity. While the attraction is there, its good to do what you and he can, to build a relationship, so that it stands on more then just feelings.

Otherwise, once the feelings fade, you're going to find yourself in quite a spot.

You like the challenge, the thrill of the chase, and somewhere in your mind, it is like well he really does like me, so there must be something wrong with him. It is a game for you, and a hurtful part on the one you are with, to act like you feel this way and then change on a dime. You must love yourself and feel like you are so great that of course a guy you like would fall for you because you are a great person, I learned this long ago, It is not because he is weak, but because he has good taste that he is with you.
Or would you rather be rejected all the time? You see it as a weakness on their part when they do start to have feelings for you. Get over that because it is really all about you, and your feelings about yourself.

Are you reacting in the present to something from your past that isn't fully resolved? In order to find the love that you deserve, you have to heal old wounds. Cultivate detachment when viewing your romantic history .......
