I feel this way. I was raised in the church all my life and taught for ten years as a young adult I taught from cradle roll, to elderly classes.
I have converted many of good people to my cause. Haveing them freely denounce their faith for my faith. I was taught to engage in debate. About ten years ago I applied my teaching techniqe to our own group and on myself to answer truly the questions that we answer and ask in our bible studys. Well I screwed up them and me now. Its been over ten years since i've been in church, and most of all i had taught and learned I have sense purged. I see It the way you do. I see it the way they see it. I have studied with all kind of beliefs. Im still hung up on somethings i believe to be right, so I can not worship free hearted with you if you can not see it my way, and I can not share with you my belief because I can not muster the energey for debate. We are all here on Yahoo for a reason. Im miserable

Are you trying to get people to see things your way or God's way. If you are going out on your own, and not following and doing according to the word of God, you will fail.
The word of God is not to be debated, but understood. It is not to be interpreted, but understood.

I guess what I am trying to understand from your post is were you doing your teaching for your glory or for God's glory. Everything we do in life as Christians must be done for God's glory alone and not ours.

If someone became a Christian, it was by the Holy Spirit and not by you. You may have been the light in a person' darkened world, but all of the credit goes to God.
Proverbs 16:19 Better it is to be of an humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud.
Proverbs 29:23 A man's pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit
You can fix this for yourself with the help of the Lord. Ask Him to cleans you of your confusion, and then start over taking it slow. When I read your post, it came at me like a train out of control and filled with total confusion. satan is the auther of confusion and is in the destruction business.
God is in the restoration business, and He can bring you back in line with Him according to His will and time at your own request.

In a sense, yes, I believe it. Like for example, when I am sad, aka miserable, I don't want a bunch of cheery ppl around me, I would rather have everyone miserable too!!
