asking questions that are silly, innocent, flirty, fun...why does that offend some people so much.

some of you must have such sad, silly little lives....relax a little, life doesn't have to be so difficult.

Nothing wrong with that at all. The problem is we have a tiny minority of anally retentive morons who object to the slightest 'daring' in any question, and scour the website for something to whinge and whine about. They effectively repress free speech and I hate them with a vengeance. You see Yahoo doesnt have humans looking at whats offensive or not, if they get a complaint they have a computer generated response which warns the questioner as if the complainer is telling the gospel truth.

There is a time and place for everything. Once you reached maturity, you understand this and understand when you are offending others with silly, flirty, and not so fun questions. Also, it is called respecting oneself and others when you know the correct time and place. To not know or to know but don't care would be to embarrass yourself, others you are with, and the person you are offending.

I would not continue to ask a friend out that would continue to act this way.

Best of luck

Some people are offended easily, especially those who think they are all "IT", It's okay for them to be offensive, but as soon as they get called on it, they run to the "abuse" tab like their lives were ruined or something. Personally, I like to have fun with it, and it's hard sometimes not to get too personally involved with those types of questions that hit my "hot" button. Keep being silly, flirty, fun, if it's in fairly good taste, and I will keep enjoying it.

More then anything a certain amount of sensitivity and tolerance is needed from both sides. On one hand, you may want to tone your questions and answers down a little bit, on the other, the less questionable things you might post should be at least put up with.

Still, if you feel that your questions are toeing the line, it might be appropriate to take a step back and consider the other persons who may be offended by it. This is a community after all, none of us can be so pig headed to want things to run exactly how we want it to be.

Because some people feel that this is not the time and the place for some things...and....What offends some may not offend others...so, you question is a little too generic....

I have fun trying to help people answering their questions....

Nothing at all wrong with it, thats why they have categories for jokes, dating, etc.

What offends people is when someone posts the same Q over and over, or asks seriously a question that should be so obvious.....

It depends on who your flirting with. If your flirting with married men, I doubt that their wives will find it endearing or cute. Just know whats appropriate and whats not.
