because the people in a boxers corner,the trainers and cutman etc. are also called seconds and when the round is to start they are basically asking for the seconds to clear the ring so the round can start.

When each round begins per universally acknowledged rules, only people are allowed in the ring the 2 fighters and one referee. Saying "seconds out" lets anyone other than the three mentioned, get out thus avoiding a disqualification.

That is at the staredown in the ring where they explain rules again, the Seconds are the asstinat trainer and the cut man, because they only allow the head trainer with the boxer at that time why I have no Idea

The origin is in duelling when the two protaganists had supporters or 'seconds' to ensure fair play and offer help afterwards They moved away from the area as the bout began. The term carried on into other forms of 'duelling' as in boxing etc.

The second is the guy who comes in to towel the boxer down, give him some tips & adjust his gum shield. It's not to do with how many seconds til the next round - although, til recently, even I thought that's what it meant!!!

Not sure...but my guess is because they want all of the trainers and doctors and people out of the ring before they start fighting again!
