Went to Dr. a few days with 103 temp. aches, headache, vomitting. He said it was the flu, gave me nausea medicine and a pain shot and sent me home with no work. Ear and throat looked normal he said. So i guess the lymph nodes is causing my severe sore throat and earache and my inability to swallow. Just dont know if i should go back to Dr. or sit it out.

swollen lymph glands are a sign of inflammation and there are ones located in your neck which may contribute to your ear ache and sore throat. If after a week you still feel ill go back to your drs. Also if you are still vomiting now go back sooner. Keep up with the fluids and try gargling with soluble paracetamol.

I'm no doctor but I wouldn't worry. I've got around 18 inflamed lymph nodes or lymphoma all over the place (just check, strange lumps of fat, right?), some about 5cm in diameter. Had them for about six years, new ones pop up occasionally. My bro has a couple, know a few people with them. They can be cancerous but as I understand it's very rare. If I'm wrong, I'm screwed as well. Get it checked out by your doc if you can and see what he/she says. And, at the end of the day, worry never helps does it.

Fever with swollen lymph nodes, enlarged, fiery red tonsils, pain on swallowing, pus on the tonsils are symptoms of strep throat. You must take an antibiotic to treat it and prevent rheumatic fever.

That sounds like strep throat. You need an antibiotic. Go to the doctor. In the mean time, force yourself to drink a lot of cool liquids to keep your throat open. Good luck.

Not normal.

You might have an infection like tonsilitis. If it's bacterial, it could be very dangerous if you don't see a doctor soon. Seriously!

Bacterial infections have flu-like symptoms like fever and cold sweat.
