Thank you all for your help, I actually cooked the Angus steak and found that it was not as good as the high-quality steak I get at my local butcher. It had a unique taste, but I didn't think this was better overall, maybe ok sometimes for a change. What a crock! haha.

The certified Angus beef has a tendency to have finer, but more evenly dispersed marbling of it's fat.

That makes for a much better steak, in flavor and tenderness.

Most cattle are fattened up considerably in a short period of time before going to slaughter. This encourages big blobs of fat, instead of the marbling mentioned above.

Whether it always tastes better than a good quality steak will depend on how that animal was raised and fed, and how you cook your steaks.

On average, yes, but averages are general things.

I prefer to get my steaks from a local producer who raises grass-fed Scottish Highland beef.

But I like my steaks rare, so the marbling means less to me than a more intense meaty flavor.

If it is in your budget, Angus is well worth the extra cost. Lightly seasoned and grilled to medium rare, served with roasted sweet potatoes....yum!
