Hi!

I'd go for Ubuntu. You need not to copy the contents of the CD to your hard drive. If you want to install it, use the installation CD. If you don't have one, go to the Ubuntu web page and ask for one (free). You can request the free CD's (they usually send more than one) by running the Live CD (this CD you have since you run it from CD Drive). Using the browser installed go to http://www.ubuntu.com
Voila! Ubuntu stands for: Humanity to others! Good luck!

the significant motives why you should use Linux(Ubuntu) instead of Microsoft abode windows are: a million. Linux is free. No Lisencing no activation required. 2. a lot less at danger of viruses and spywares. 3. maximum of the applications come bundled up with the operating gadget setting up disk. nevertheless it relies upon upon what type of consumer are u. if you're a gamer or in case you dont recognize a lot about computers , then the more beneficial determination is abode windows because at the same time as Linux fails(in the time of boot) then u rather favor some pc information to fix it

I'd go for Ubuntu.

Damn Small Linux is more for experts who want to produce specialist computing systems.

Some other good choices would be Fedora:

or Mandriva:

To download, you will need to have a computer system already running. You can then burn the ISO image for use in any other computer.

You can also get pre-made CDs of Ubuntu for free, if you have no computer knowledge whatsoever:
