If you get one with more of a curly coat you will have little to no shedding. All dogs shed but some shed so little you do not see it, especially curly coated dogs and dogs with no undercoat.

Goldendoodles are wonderful dogs and very gentle an smart. When looking for one try to buy from someone local so you can see how the pups are raised and meet the parents.

The golden retriever and poodle mix is a great mix!!

Why not buy a Standard Poodle? I will give you a link to the Poodle club so that you can look for breeders and read some information about finding a reputable breeder. A pet puppy should be less then $2,000. The golden mixes can still shed like crazy. They also may have hip dysplasia and a whole lot of other health issues. I wouldn't want to pay more then $50 for a mixed breed. Also, Portuguese Water Dogs don't shed that much.

They CAN be LOW shedding, but ALL dogs shed. Humans shed. There is NO dog that is 100% NON SHEDDING. With a mix, you DO NOT get all the good and none of the bad. You can get a VERY hyper dog that sheds like a LAb, but looks more like a Poodle. Or you can get some other combination. You cannot know for sure. All the puppies in the litter can be different. If you want the Poodle traits...GET A POODLE!!!

Don't listen to these people talking about getting a poodle. You don't have to get that dog if it's not what you want!

Goldendoodles are an excellent choice for a pet. They are very sweet and are low shed. I don't have a golden doodle because they are too big for my family but they are EXTREMELY cute. The more curly they are the less shedding. If you are looking to purchase one request that the breeder give you one that is low shed if that is what you are looking for. Trust me they will help you choose the right dog. But, don't feel like you have to get a poodle just because of that. I don't really like how poodles look. Their skinny faces are not that cute to me but that's my opinion. However, I do like how well they do when mixed with other breeds. Good luck with your search and go for the curliest coat you kind find.

They are a mix breed so there is no way of telling exactly what they will be like. Some will shed a lot like a Golden, some will shed minimally like a Poodle some will be in between. Some are quiet, some are hyper. Some have health issues some don't.
No one can give an exact when it comes to mixes.

I know someone who has a Labradoodle and he doesn't shed. He's a wild one, takes after the poodle side. Very playful and full of energy. Great dog!! Wonderful personality too!!

A Poodle cross will have a 50/50 chance of being low shedding.

The worst shedder I have ever seen, in 30 years of showing dogs, was a Poodle cross.

Just get a Poodle, they are very nice, particularily the standards. With a mutt, who knows what you might get.

No, she means doodle.

I have seen several Labradoodles and one golden... all shed.

Standard poodles don't shed and are calm.

Poodle, you mean... anyway, I know a few friends who have them, and they tend to be a bit obnoxious at times and they do shed.... a lot! Poodles are high-maintenance dogs.
