Can I put a PDF file on my web site and disable the save option i.e protecting the document from being copied?

LOL! Just change permissions to 700 or 000. Then no one will be able to access the pdf file. They will get a 403 Forbidden message.

The option is there (acrobat>document properties>permissions> but it will not prevent anyone from copying the document. It ´ll prevent them maybe to save it directly though acrobat. But it can still be copied. So the answer is not, you can not. Moving images, and sound, make it more difficult but still, they can be copied. All computers have the combo Alt+grad+"print screen button" that permits user copy whatever is on his/hers own computer screen independent of the program used to create it. So even if you can use several programs to make this more difficult like Acrobat, Flash media, Macromedia etc They will still be able to copy the material very easily as long as they can see it in their display. If it is so important you can use some of the programs above and others which the loaded Page disables the right side mouse button, but still. It will still be no problem to copy it.

while making the pdf u should restrict the permissions of write protected,denied copying so it takes internal property copy the original file then go to permissions restrict the access u have a protected file as well as the original one then post the protected file it can not be saved by viewer

No, you can't - the two things are contradictory! You either make the file available on your website, and hence allow people to download (take copies) or you don't!
