The car was salvaged. Not a single part was kept for further use.Not a single part, period! The seat belts were kept sometime for a lawsuit between his wife Theresa and the manufacturer. They were also destroyed at a later date once the suit was settled.

There are several rumors about this car. After his crash the car was taken by NASCAR so a full investigation could take place. The investigation included NASCAR,Florida Hiway Patrol,Local law enforcement. After the conclusion to this investigation the car was in the Charlotte R&D building of NASCAR for further investigation(some said the idea for the Car Of Tomorrow was founded then).
After the investigations and the findings were released the car went back to RCR and scraped.

at first it was hauled in for testing and investigation purposes...esp when there was talk that there was faulty seatbetls and whatnot. nascar and private investigations felt necessary to get to the bottom of what really happend in the car..and it was also used to help make new safety precautions.

as for now.. i'm sure it was torn apart during investigation purposes..and it's prolly still in pieces somewhere. i highly doubt this information would be made public b/c sickos all over the world would be trying to get a hold of it.

Some say its housed at NASCAR's R&D facility, some say Richard Childress has it. I think its being housed at the same government warehouse as the Arc of the Covenant.

I have no idea. Google it, I bet it has been placed into a museum or perhaps the family had it junked, or if they are like most folks maybe they sold peices of to rabid fans who are a bit mentally challenged.
