Pointing out other people's faults makes them feel like they are important.. when in reality there life must SUCK if they spend there day correcting spelling for free ...

Reminds me of my English teacher... hey I know they are all redundant English teachers who have nothing better to do!

It's all depend on the situation. Sometimes, you just need to type the correct spelling just to avoid missunderstanding. But in certain case, it's just the message that matter most even the spelling is not correct. As long as you can let people understand your message clear, I guess it's alright to misspell some words. After all, we just human right? And human makes mistakes.

You don't have time for that? Wait let me try this so you'll understand...

u dnt hav tym 4 dat?

Do you want people to think you're an ignorant schmuck? That's the impression people give off when they can spend their free time on the Internet, but can't take the extra seven seconds it takes to type out a proper sentence, or even hit the spell-check.

Why don't you have time? Are you too busy making another illegible post on another board somewhere?

Two things I've learned in life.

1) Never order fish anywhere other than a seafood restaurant.

and...

2) Chicks dig smart guys. Smart guys can spell, put together complete sentence and tend to use proper grammar.

Hey, I know nobody is perfect, but you should use the resources that are available. For example, the Check Spelling option is a fast and convenient way to help you with your errors.
Of course, the choice is yours. I would like to read complete coherent questions and statements instead of gibberish.

Um, from what I gather from here, chicks dig smart guys. Because, yeah, that's EXACTLY why you are . To pick up chicks. Hey I might be extra attentive to my own spelling and grammar and yeah, I do notice the "errors". It's who I am. Pointing them out? Not who I am.

For the same reason people pick on weight, intelligence and other things: they think they are superior to you and want to build themselves up.

well... some people just like to be grammatically correct and can't stand it when others are not... or they could just be perfectionists and everything that they see or read has to be grammatically correct, with no spelling mistakes.
