Use your ears, geez.

What is great for one, is not for the other. I love Klipsch and Polk, and I'm sure others hate em'. If it isn't a floor stander, well....

Just like Bose, my term is "Bose Blose".

To each their own

Everyone should have 3 choices of equipment to choose from when buying a home theater...3 levels of amps, 3 levels of speakers, etc...One is budget gear, one is average and one is expensive...But I say if a person can't tell the difference between one group and the other, they SHOULDN'T spend the extra money.

First, I would go and listen to PARADIGM speakers...For the MONEY, you can't get a better sounding speaker...This is an ENTRY level company and you CAN do better, but for most people, Paradigm fits their needs...If you like INFINITY speakers, Paradigm does it slightly better for HALF the price.

Next up would be the KLIPSCH...These are the LOUDEST speakers in the world...They require the LEAST amount of power to get the volume you want out of your music and movies...A bit pricier than the Paradigm, these speakers use a HORN-LOADED tweeter which some people don't like...It makes for a whole lot of extra TREBLE...But some people love it...Go and listen for yourself.

The final and most EXPENSIVE of the trio are the BOWERS AND WILKINS or "B&Ws"...These are my favorite as they play back music and movies EXACTLY the way they were recorded...The down-side is that all your BAD recordings will sound lousy...But on the other hand, GOOD recordings will sound amazing...Abby Road Studios and Skywalker Sound use this brand to mix albums and movie soundtracks.

But don't take my word for it...Grab one of your favorite CDs, go and listen to these brands for yourself...Don't use the salesperson's demo disc...They've picked something that sounds good on ANY speaker...Use something YOU know so you can HEAR the difference...And like I said, if all of these brands sound the same to you, buy the LEAST expensive of the bunch...Save your money!

Best overall results. Yamaha, on yamaha, by yamaha.
Sony, on klipsch and eaw, and myran video interactives.
You have a good ear for sound so move up to cushioning,
pads, and modems.
