The bended one... lol
Seriously though I never thought about whether there was a proper etiquette for that, but thinking logically , I would say the right knee with your left up, when you ask her to marry you, your left hand will be reaching for her left hand to place the ring on her finger as she accepts your proposal....
Are you thinking of proposing soon???
If you are, I wish you all the best, a wedding full of loving memories to cherish, a deep commitment and willingness to work through all your trials and hardships, and the ability to grow together instead of apart...
oh yeah and a big wraparound porch on your retirement home to sit in your rocking chairs as you reminisce about the wonderful life you have shared together!

I have never thought about that. I didn't think there was a specific knee that you have to go down on to propose.
Now that i think about my proposal, my fiance went down on his left and held the ring in his right hand.
He's right handed.
But i bet you'll be too nervous to think about that. So do whichever comes first :)
Good luck and congratulations!

Of all the things to think about, this is the one that matters least at that moment. She won't notice or care which knee you are on, just that you are down there holding a ring. Do which ever one comes naturally to you at the moment.
Congrats!

whatever knee is going to be more comfortable for you to propose.
the opposite knee from the hand that has the ring, will look more balanced.

What is this? What effect has it got on the marriage?Just because someone went down on this knee we all have to do that.THE MORE WE ARE FREE TO DO WHAT WE WANT THE MORE WE ALL DO THE SAME THING.

I don't know if there is a correct one. I think I used the left knee, but I was too nervous to remember. Whichever it was, it worked!

Whichever feels most comfortable at the time I'm sure that she will be so impressed that she won't even notice which knee you went down on.Just remember that sincerity is everything.
