Well sometimes you need that sleep. Sometimes you just can't stop from falling asleep. You can try getting up and being busy all day, and when you think you need to sleep , well go and do something else. I would go and see a doctor about the problem. They can help you . So give it a try, and go seek professional help, and get back to you normal self, before you started sleeping all the time during the day. Sometimes you just need to change your sleeping habit, by staying awake all day and keeping busy, and by early evening you may find that you are tired, and ready to sleep during the night, and get up early morning.
I would still say to go see a doctor though, cause he could help you find out why you are sleeping all the time during the day.

You can talk to your physician about why the quality of your nighttime sleep is not allowing you to stay awake throughout the day.
You should even include getting a screening for depression, because that can take the form of excessive sleep, too.

sleeping during day time is called NARCOLEPSY which is due to sleep apnea at night thaqt causes repeated awakening from sleep at night.
You may be totally unaware about this thats why you may need sleep study in a sleep lab to diagnose this condition or simply your wife can pointed it out if she see you snoring at night.
if you can not afford to do the required investigations (sleep study) then you may try putting a special adhesive tape on your nose which will help open the airways at night, improving your snoring & sleep & so you wont suffer from day time sleepiness.
good luck.
