I disagree with this juvenile statement too - it is ridiculous! I was in the Coast Guard and most people fail to recognize that we went underway for months at a time and were in fact involved in every war or battle in American history since its inception. I just think that all too often, if a person is not in the Army or Marines, others tend to think the other branches are lazy, worthless, non-heroic peons. Those of us that have actually have been in the boat for three months fighting terrorism and illegal immigration, fighting the foreign oil well fires with bombs exploding all over the place, or hunkered down in the mortuary like you, are simply not as heroic to American journalists. But you know the truth and so do those of us that have given.
Thank you for your sacrifice and try not to let the petty talk get you down...Thank you so much from the very heart of this veteran.
Happy holidays.

As x Air Force do you think I miss many chances to give a "ground pounder" a raspberry??? Don't be so thin skinned. It is when you stop hearing such comments that the Air Force will have developed a problem.

Even if you were just doing what people normally think of the air force doing...
anyone who has ever seen or heard of battles or engagements where one side (always the U.S.) has air superiority wouldn't say that.
I've never heard that accusation leveled, though. You should pay less attention to what members of the other military branches say about you over beers.

I have worked with AF in Iraq and now here in Afghanistan. Our sister services are supporting us (Army) in many ways, only not in combat roles. This of course does not make them less worthy of respect, but you will hear a lot of crap from infantry types. Just ignore them. From one soldier to an airmen. THANK YOU for helping your nation and ground forces sustain the mission.

I think unless you are actually in the US Air Force, no one can say what they do and don't do....I don't think it is of public knowledge to post what it is the personnel does on a daily basis. I love when people who have never been in spout thier mouths, it just shows that those stupid people couldn't pass the ASVAB test if they tried! I was in a long time ago.....the training was intense and great, and I would do it again....so to hell with those who are ignorant!!!!
