You want proof? How about the sun, moon and sky? How about babies and bugs and the wind?
Not believing in God makes no sense to me. I don't have that kind of faith. I cannot believe this universe and this planet all happened by chance. That makes no sense to me. You want us to believe we won some awesome game of chance? I read some scientists have caculated the odds of all this happening by chance as being so adverse they are impossible to caculate. I read that believing in the Big Bang theory is akin to taking the parts of a watch, putting them in a paper bag, shaking them for a million years and then expecting a perfectly functioning watch to result. That takes a lot of faith.
If there is no God, why is there something, rather then nothing?

Walker, let see proof that there is Adonai(God)
Earth, the way our planet is situated, third planet in the solar system. A few degree's away we will freeze, a few degrees closer and we will disintegrate.
The moon, Did you know that the moon is earth's cleaning mate it control the waves of the oceans. Oceans take impurities to the depth and recycles the oxygen. Stars and galaxies like celestial voices shouting loudly that there is a God. Have you wonder when you look at the human eye, the way it's made all the cells and what function every cell has to give sight. or How those two atoms were made, yes the two atoms the the scientist and evolutionist claim were floating in the vast space and then collied against each other and BANG everything was created, no way that that just happen, there has to be a loving God(Adonai) who created all...

Dear walker,
i don't think in a short page on yahoo answers i can convince you of a conviction that you have formed over a number of years and we don't have the forum to go back and forth- point for point. So i would like to suggest three books that i have read that provide good evidence that God does exist. They are written by those who began as skeptics but after examining the evidence came to a conclusion that God is real.
As you said God made you scientific then you ought to be open to examining evidence with an open heart and drawing your own conclusions based on your personal "research".
Case For Christ by Lee Strobel: Lee is a journalist who began doubting Christ and he offers many different evidences (he even has a chapter that provides the scientific evidence). Also author of a book called Case for a Creator.
Josh McDowell has two books: Evidence that demands a verdict (it is less of a straight reading book) but answers questions that people have about everything from the crucifixion to the validity of the Bible.
Josh #2: Josh also wrote a book called More than a Carpenter and this book examines why Jesus is more than a carpenter. It's a lot less technical and a good read than Evidence that demands a verdict.
Also if you want to read anything by Normal Geisler, Chuck Misler, Robert Bowman, or Henry Morris they are all pretty good authors on this topic.
As you can tell i'm fairly well read on the topic but couldn't give you all the answers to all your doubts in just one email and i think you will find the evidence more convincing if you examined it yourself.
Hope that helps. Kindly,
Nickster

How much of your time would you "waste" believing in God? Are you talking about the religion that man has invented, or basic belief...belief has you make up your mind and move on.
Example...I believe in UFO's. There is no scientific proof, but I either choose to believe or I don't. If I do, I don't have to dwell on it. If I don't I don't have to dwell on that either.
If you are truly scientific in nature, you will know that the thing you should do, based on odds and simple calculations, is believe. If you do believe, and there is a heaven, then you go there. If you don't believe, and there is a heaven, you don't go there. If you do believe and there isn't a heaven, it's a wash, and if you don't believe and there isn't a heaven, it's also a wash. So, deduction and logic would dictate that you would be covering your bases to believe.

If there was a god, I don't see him being mad at you for interpretting the world as he presented it to you.
The whole idea that a god would torture you forever in Hell for believing what he had you see seems a bit silly.
There is also the fact that it is very easy to convince me that you exist. Presumably, you are not as powerful, by far, as any god is supposed to be. Yet, I have not been convinced by any gods that they exist. So, either they don't want me to believe they exist, in which case, there's nothing I can really do about it. Or they just don't really exist, which is the far more likely choice.
If there is no reason to believe something, it makes sense to not believe it.

God did indeed create you as a scientific person but He also created you with other qualities - emotions, actions and above all of those, He created you as a believing person.
A person without belief in something beyond his powers of perception would never be motivated to look for any scientific proofs at all...!

You already believe in God, since you said "God made me as a scientific person". What you're trying to do is find a scientific basis for that belief. Try reading about the "God gene" and do some research into the pineal gland in humans as it relates to enlightenment and spirituality. There you will find scientific explanations for the belief in God that we are hardwired to have.

Boy do I ever understand your issue.
My mother always answered the unanswerable questions with "that's where faith comes in". For me it wasn't enough.
So, I searched, studied and meditated about it all my life. I finally have found the answer that satisfies me.
I do believe that God sent his only begotten son to the end that we would not perish, but have everlasting life.
It took me many years to get to this place, but it is a big relief!. I won't go into it all, kinda a long story, you just got to ask, research, review personal experiences, and Oh yeah, just look and the creation of this world we live on. About Jesus, That took longer for me, but I finally figured it out to a satisfactory answer for me.
God Bless you, I wish you strength in finding your answers.

the proof scientific or not of Gods existence is in all things....the fact that you woke up today and wrote this question is proof....the fact that you know its wrong to steal, lie, etc....before anyone told you is proof God gave you a conscience, the fact that you were created in your mothers womb from only two cells...to what you are today is proof, the most important proof however is the change in peoples lives who surrender to God and allow His ways to be the ways they live....it is proof enough that God said "seek me and you shall find life"....not a command or an option just a statement...He is life ...if you seek Him you will find life....†
