It is NEVER too late to start a new life.. my mother went back to University at 40 years of age after being a housewife...

6 years later my mum became a doctor.... I thought that was amazing.. it proves anyone can start a new life at any point.

First of all being an immigrant can be an asset, since you bring with you valuable ties in international trading.

In other words, your contacts can help by seeking a position in a business that has a business relationship with the country you are from.

So will value your experience and savvy with the language and culture.

In fact you can even establish your own business using these valuable links.

This country is multi-cultural and open to the positive wealth of the different cultures and products.

In regard to your age, again this is in fact an asset, since age is experience.

Age brings valuable insight and experience and lessons up to this current time.

You have a choice to see these two 'identity' factors that you have defined yourself as just the very basis of who you are and what you are all about or you can see that you have a greater defination of who you are.

This might be a time in your life that you can build on what you see, and become a truly amazing source of inspiration for the world.Look at the Nobel Peace Priz winners.

And look around you, Canada is one of the very best places in the world to live, and has a thriving multi-culteral society.

This is your chance to begin.

Hell no.
I did the same at 45. I came to Canada only last year and i am 45 now. I see no barrier to success save for those present in our own vision.
I would not however suggest that this sort of move is right for everyone because it is hard work and frustrating on some occassions.
