I do believe that we have had previous lives and that our spirits choose the situation into which we are born to learn a life lesson. So a spirit may choose to have a physical limitation or be born into a poor family or one country over another, etc.
But once that decision is made and we are born, the life that unfolds is not predetermined. We have just set into motion a series of circumstances that increase the odds of learning whatever lesson our soul needs to learn.
For instance, one person could be born in an impoverished family and grow up embittered and cruel. Another could be born into the same family and be motivated by it to grow up and overcome his/her childhood challenges. We still have free will.

No. There is no past life. This life is a testing time, and you need to read Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth, (also known as, the Bible), to find out how to get through the trials.

yes ,the idea of reincarnation is older than all religions a lot of people dont believe its a fact because its not taught as fact by the church,this tends to make uninquiring mind thinks that because the church teaches that we have one mortal life,this is incomplete knowledge and limits god

This is mearly a theory and theres no way to know. What u speak of in ur question is Karma.
Im not sure if Reincarnation is real but if it is then, i think its god giving us a fresh start to try again in our attemts to reach his paradice.

Bad things happen in our life because people have free will. We are no worse than the worst of us and no better than the best of us. We only have one earthly life (thank God!)

NO, you only live once, there is no previous life. It is appointed man once to die, and after that the judgment. (BIBLE) so if you only die once you only live once. Depending upon whether you accept or reject Jesus Christ your only other life will be in heaven or hell no where else.
