You'll get all the freeview channels and thats it. You'll still have all the channels - they just won't show anything if you cancel your sky subscription.

Yes, but you'll only get the non-encrypted channels (news, Eurosport, (I think) the music channels (though I'm not certain about those), and some of the BBC/ITV/Channel 4 channels. Possibly some of the movie channels as well (TCM, etc) but not Sky Movies.

if it's anything like the "no-service" from an unsubscribed NTL box you'll get the freeview chans thru the box with no tuning required.

just the basics you would get on your Ariel you could always get freeview if you are in a good signal area

you can still get the bbc's, film four, sky news, cnn, men and motors etc, the all come in for free, you'll have to tune them in yourself...
