you know growing up was taught that. but after reading the Bible find that the old and new testament mesh so well. and that web site about conderictions is such a farce. here is an example of there conderactions using the flood. about when noah entered the ark.
Seven days before the flood began. The day that the flood began.
Genesis 7:7-10
And Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him, into the ark.... And it came to pass after seven days, that the waters of the flood were upon the earth. Genesis 7:11-13
In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened. And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights. In the selfsame day entered Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah's wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark.
well they try to say that the Bible says that the rain started on the first day and the seven. as we have seen throughout history that it takes more then then one day of rain to cause a flood. and the first section says that water from the flood ( not the rain but the actual flood) was upon them on the seven day.. wow this is a contradiction. another is did Jesus ride a colt or a donkey. a baby donkey is considered a colt. it is a waste of time.

Matt 24:25, Mark 13:30, Luke 24:32 ". . . this generation shall not pass till all these things be done." Jesus was telling his disciples that "temple would be destroyed, wars, calamities, false prophets, and then he would appear above the cloud in triumph during the end days, before the death of his disciples." All these were reiterated in all the 3 gospels. But his disciples died 2000 years ago. End days did not happen, and Jesus lied about it or the gospel writers lied about it. Whatever the case, this is the greatest contradiction of all. Because Jesus is not a god otherwise how could a god be wrong about his own prophecy? Or the bible is just a book of lies! EDIT: Don't try to use sophistry on online forum. THIS GENERATION referred to the generation of his disciples, and there is no other meaning. Such denials once again proves that Christians lie just to justify their god.

I think you're right in that the bible does not contradict itself. It's religions that do. For example, the bible states that whatever shall enter your stomach shall not damn your soul, yet there was a time that Catholics were not permitted to eat meat on Fridays. This is the clearest example that i know of--i'm sure there are others, but it isn't the bible itself. this simply means, choose your religion wisely and follow the bible carefully.

most things people think are contradictions are just the comparisons of two short sumaries of the same event.
If two people give a short summary, they will not both include every detail and will describe things and emphasise things differently
additionally the BIble is not written in the style of American photographic journalism of the 21st century, and often brings up only the details it wants for a particular emphasis and additionally will sometimes take a series of events and squish it into one short summary

i believe that the only contradictions people see in the Bible is from man's constant translations through the ages. The Bible originally went from Hebrew to Greek. Who knows, if it might have been in Spanish, French, Russian, or African, before it got to English? man is not perfect, so sensible reasoning tells us that some words were omitted, or added along the way.

I am sure there are plenty more but like these are a few i noticed like in the bible it sez that vegetation was created a day before light was (so how did it survive the very first day without light) and it sez that the moon has light of its own(and it doesnt it has reflected light) and it also sez that the earth is the centre of the univers and that its stationary and everythin else moves

the bible like all religious scriptures are relevant to the individual only and must be interpreted such this does not mean that if you understand another persons interpretation to be correct you are wrong ,it just implies spiritual weakness and lack of self expression after all he gave us all a mind to approach him and by approach him from anothers idea is and insult to youself and god

There are no contradictions in God's Word.
People do not underrstand His Word, because they do not have His Holy Spirit in them to show them the true meaning of His Word.
