I have seen a quote from Jesus in the Bible that appeared in the Bhagavad Gita attributed to Krisna. The Gita predates the bible by more than a thousand years. Why didn't Christ work with original material?

Let me tell i am a Hindu so no offense but what i think is every time when god takes a birth on earth. he reminds people of those good thoughts that were mentioned before just like Jesus did but in a different way by repeating Krishna Bhagwans words.

for ex people like new things always.

this means that during the time of Jesus Gita was old and needed to be said again to the people so Jesus said it in different way and gave it another name. So people might start focusing back at those thoughts again.

and i think if Bible was given the name of Gita than people might have thought that it is GIta and they know about it so why even give attention to it. so that is why i think Jesus gave another name to name to our Gita.so people would start to pay attention to those thoughts

Well, since Jesus is God, and God created everything, Jesus was merely quoting from one of His earlier works...the Gita.

But if one denies that Jesus is God, then you're free to believe that He's just another false prophet and plagiarist.

Jesus is the original material, He is the Word made flesh.

He had to use other material available to him in order to make his message authentic. Why else would anyone believe he was God incarnate?

What do you mean by original material? Christ was God in the flesh so he created everything around him.

Because Jesus wasn't anyone "new"...he was GOD in human form. And since GOD, created the universe and everything in it....there's your answer.
