Good question. I have just about had it this Christmas with all of the focus on getting gifts. As I look around the world and see all of the suffering, it really makes me ashamed at how two of our major Western holidays (Thanksgiving and Christmas) are all about how much we can consume. Since we already suck up almost all of the world's dwindling resources to support our own greed, I think it is time for people of good conscience to say "enough is enough" and stop this commercial feeding frenzy. People who claim they are religious should all be on the side of boycotting Christmas gift giving.
