i thought that salon brands will be better than department brand shampoos and conditioners - they cost a lot more! and these products for straightening hair like redken straightening balms, serums do they really work?

i am a stylist.
i don't like their shampoo and conditioner , but their styling products are awesome. and yes, they work, IF you use them correctly - let me tell you that the redken training team tries to teach stylists how to use them, but rarely do stylists tell the clients how to use them.
you HAVE to ask HOW to use all the products because some of them can be used several different ways. tell the stylist to explain it like they would explain it to a 6 year old (she might get the hint that she's not doing her job by explaining how to use the products correctly for YOU)

have used Redken products in the past and liked them. I wanted to try Extreme Shampoo (for damaged hair) and Climatress Treatment (conditioner for dry hair) because my hair tends to be dry if I'm not careful.

I use the Redken All Soft Conditioner and I love it. It keeps my hair really shinny and smooth. I would suggest using them. You get what you pay for. Spend a little extra and take care of your hair. Good luck :)

sure omg! i appreciate redken!! lol and yeah i exploit All smooth and it fairly works amazingly!! i am going to attempt tender Down only because i opt to blend up my shampoo and conditioner each couple of months so i won't be able to say it is more desirable ideal yet i do not ignore that one and all smooth does what it says!!!!
