It is certainly an overwhelming experience.

You get yourself prepared for a while not to let your emotions get the best of you when you see it, but there is something about seeing that majestic block, the first house of worship built for mankind, for the first time, that shakes your heart down to it's very foundation.

I've been to Mecca twice, and I've gotten the same feeling of seeing it for the first time twice. La Ilaha Illa Allah, Muhammad Rasulullah. I think it will always be the same feeling.

OH .. IT IS AMAZING

My American friend converted to Islam after watching a documentary on the Haj, she said she never loved Islam or Mecca or Muslims, but when she got to learn about it she found it was something amazing and so she has been Muslim for 3 yrs. now.

Al Salaam Sister... Yes, not only the first time.. but whenever I go to Mecca, I get goosebumps as I get overwhelmed with the thought of being in the Holy City... And my reaction upon seeing the Ka'bah is always the same... I cry as soon as I see the Ka'bah... It is indeed amazing... amazing as we get so emotional, we feel so spiritual, feel so close to God and see everyone around us as simple muslims... no poor, no rich... bowing on their knees to please Allah(swt)...
Masalaama...

Yes...I have been there.
Yes I have cried a lot too.
It was the best 4 days in my life that I have spent in Mekkah.
I remember very clearly, I had no bad thoughts at all, I was not afraid of future, I have even not though about it, not about my work or about any kind of life trouble.

Thank you for reminding of those beautiful days...
You know what, I will do it again withing few months..so thanks again.
