No they do not have to have stuffing, but personally I can't eat a roasted turkey without it. I absolutely love stuffing.
If you do not know how to make stuffing, then you can get a recipe at the following sources below:

No, there is a school of thought nowadays saying that stuffing a turkey can actually be harmful as it prevents it from cooking properly.
If you do not want stuffing in your turkey but others do, simply prepare the day before into balls and roast them separately as required.
People get the best of both worlds then. Stuffed or unstuffed but stuffing on the side if they want. Saves on turkey cooking time too.
Enjoy. Happy Christmas and Happy 2007

No! Not at all. . ..I never put stuffing inside the turkey. I like to have a seperate stuffing so I can make sure it is the texture I like. Also, putting stuffing directly inside a turkey while roasting is one of the easiest ways to get bacteria on your food. When the turkey says it's done, based on the temperature, that doesn't mean the stuffing ever entirely reached that temperature. So the stuffing could still have germs on it from the raw poultry! Doesn't sound worth the risk to me. . ..

No, but if you are going to do stuffing, cook it separately, in the same dish as your turkey. Many cases of food poisoning occur when people have not added extra time on to cooking due to the extra density caused by the stuffing in a turkey/chicken. Easiest way is to make your stuffing itn balls and place around the turkey/chicken with your roast potatoes and sausages etc, this will make your potatoes have a lovely flavour as well as ensuring that the turkey/chicken is fully cooked as well.

No...I always roast my turkey and make the stuffing separate then people can chose wether they want it or not!!! I just love the taste of turkey on it's own...and personaly think the stuffing spoils the taste!

No. We often cook our turkeys without stuffing whenever certain family members come over...the stuffing doesn't agree with them. Cooking the turkey without stuffing will actually speed up the cooking process.

No you don`t have to, you can just roast a turkey as is. Just add a little something when it is done because turkey doesn`t have any real flavor

if you're one who isn't keen on stuffing ,just leave it out ,you can serve just roast turkey on its own or pass around a dish of stuffing cooked seperately ,as a side dish for for those like me who love stuffing.,

You don't have to stuff them, but stuffing really adds a lot to Christmas dinner. I couldn't imagine a Christmas meal without stuffing. Good luck with your cooking and Merry Christmas.
