Your belief is based on your judgement based on your knowledge. Comparing the knowledge of mythological gods to the God of the Bible with the clear historical jurispridence that provides a preponderance of evidences not matched by any religion or hardly any historical fact in history books is a weak analogy.

I fully understand why you say what you do about the Greek gods of mythology and I have studied these gods years ago. I have also studied the God YAWH as written in the Holy Bible and found it to be not only accurate but the foundation of the whole development of righteousness and salvation is not only reported from many sources at the time, but written about in detail by many. Those who try and discount the Bible by saying the Bible reports that the earth is only 6000 years old is rubbish by those who have not thought out the Bible. We cannot say from any source in the Bible how long a day is in God's realm. A day could be a million years or even more. We cannot place our earthly limitations on God. He doesn't live the same limited life as we do. Everything we know and touch has a beginning and an end. Eternity is so very strange to us, yet as a spirit it certainly can be a reality. I accept God's Holy Bible as fact and I accept the fact that God came to earth as a mortal human in the form of Jesus Christ. God is just that, God. He has no limitations as we do. He has no beginning and He has no end. He has always been and will always be. The concept is not so foreign to anyone who ponders about it with an open mind. Creation is not an easy concept to accept when you think about it as an accidental happening. As intelligent as we think we are today, we cannot create life. Even scientist today are accepting the notion of intelligent intervention in creation of life. The idea of this happening by chance are so remote it’s incalculable.

Your argument is interesting. I like your style. I do understand why I do not believe in other gods. I do not know what you believe. I do feel that I have never gotten a straight answer from any atheist. I understand that gods and idols are made so that there will be something tangible to personify answers which can not be logically explained. I do not understand why you would not be able to extrapolate the existance of a God that created the universe (by logical reason) as I have done. Most every atheist I have ever met and had discussions with seemed intelligent enough to grasp the concept but they always redirected relevant questions by asking another question instead of giving an honest answer.

Over the years, your Gods have been proven not to be real.
Over the years the Christian God has been proved just the opposite. He only requires Christians to tell you about him.
If you choose to be an ostrich and stick your head in the sand.
And pretend that he doesn't exist. That is your choice. But one day you will believe.

Brother This is the Way!!!
Read!!!

Each morning upon rising, and each evening before sleeping, gives thanks for the life within you and for all life, for the good things the Creator has given you and for the opportunity to grow a little more each day. Consider your thoughts and actions of the past day and seek for the courage and strength to be a better person. Seek for the things that will benefit others (everyone).

2. Respect. Respect means "To feel or show honor or esteem for someone or something; to consider the well being of, or to treat someone or something with deference or courtesy". Showing respect is a basic law of life.

3. Once a council has decided something in unity, respect demands that no one speak secretly against what has been decided. If the council has made an error, that error will become apparent to everyone in its own time.

4. Be truthful at all times, and under all conditions.

5. Always treat your guests with honor and consideration. Give of your best food, your best blankets, the best part of your house, and your best service to your guests.

6. The hurt of one is the hurt of all; the honor of one is the honor of all.

7. Receive strangers and outsiders with a loving heart and as members of the human family.

8. All the races and tribes in the world are like the different colored flowers of one meadow. All are beautiful. As children of the Creator they must all be respected.

9. To serve others, to be of some use to family, community, nation, and the world is one of the main purposes for which human beings have been created. Do not fill yourself with your own affairs and forget you’re most important talks. True happiness comes only to those who dedicate their lives to the service of others.

10. Observe moderation and balance in all things.

11. Know those things that lead to your well-being and those things that lead to your destruction.

12. Listen to and follow the guidance given to your heart. Expect guidance to come in many forms; in prayer, in dreams, in times of quiet solitude, and in the words and deeds of wise Elders and friends.

The difference is evidence. There is not any evidence that the pagan gods exist! There is ample evidence for the God of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob.

Great analogy of Christian Atheism. That'll get them rollin! Logic and Christianity have never gone together very well. *sigh* Many people seem to have forgotten that most religion is based on SYMBOLISM. The Idea of a Virgin Birth, the Walking on Water, and other such niceties.

The gods you have mentioned were part of multi-theistic belief systems. Christianity is a mono-theistic belief system. My God is the ONE and ONLY. "Thou shalt have no other gods before me."
