I have two trees...one is the family tree and the other one is semi-formal. The family tree looks like a rainbow that blinks! Every color imaginable and homemade school crafts adorn every branch! We even put small stuffed animals on our family tree!
The more formal tree is red, black, and white, with white lights. I threw in a couple of penguins just to "humanize" the tree...it looked a little too much like a perfect department store tree in the very beginning.

Red and Gold. With 1950 glass ornaments and Precious Moments ornaments.

black, brown, silver, white ornaments. with a black fish for my topper. my tree is white. my streamers, garland silver. all my gifts are red wrap. i'm unique. next year i plan to incorporate some orange and have a harley davidson cycle as the topper.
