If you know there is some good that you can do, do it. If there is something you know you need to stop, stop immediately. Overcome evil with good.
If you have a judgmental thought, just knowing you have it is the beginning. Then think of every honest good thing you can think about the same person or situation, and dwell on that. Refuse to speak critically of anyone.
If you find that you are envious of another for having or being something that you feel you don't have, think of all your blessings, and speak only blessings about the other person. Resolve to do this.
Realize that most people are doing the best they can under the circumstances. Some people are more mature, and some are less. You be all the good things you expected from someone else, that lead to your needing to forgive.
Pretty soon, this will become a habit, and you will find your character changed. You will find that you automatically speak good of others, that you are happy for others successes as well as your own, and that your unforgiveness has disappeared from lack of use.
Begin this very second, and if you find that you fall short of your intention, forgive yourself, and begin again, no matter what, or how many times it takes.

Be patient - God can change your nature, if you let him, but his timing is not always right now. Sometimes we have to wait until we've learned a few lessons, like humility.
Never give up on God because he will never give up on you.
Take it in prayer to the Lord - ask others to pray for you too.
Keep on reading the Gospel message, especially about the love and compassion Jesus displayed when on earth. It's inspirational. The more you learn about Jesus, the more you get to love him. The rest follows.
Don't beat yourself up over this - we're all of us imperfect and make mistakes, but God forgives. He understands your heart.
Thank God every day you wake up for all the good things he has done and for all the good things he is yet to do. Rejoice!

That's because faith without works is dead. You have to really want to change then put forth the effort. You can't just ask god to make you a good person and expect it to miraculously happen, that's like praying to be the most humble or most righteous. If god just changed a person himself then no one would be evil or ever sin. I was at one time arrogant, very egotistical and would fight at the drop of a hat. I started fights and hurt people for almost no reason at all, then one day it hit me, what I had become, I hated what I was doing. I realized I had no honor. So I decided to change. Now I like who I am and though some of my past traits still linger I fight them and win. If being a good person came easy everyone would be one.
Its hard but you can do it with time and hard work,
I'll pray for you

Friend, do you know why he won't change it, it is because you will not believe him. It only takes a simple bit of faith, Our Salvation is not based on feelings, But by Faith, You don't have to have a great ball of fire come down to prove to you that God can Forgive, All you have to do is ask God to save you throught the Blood of Jesus Christ, & whatever little faith you have, believe he has forgiven you, Actuall our forgiveness was done 2000 yrs ago. It just takes us so long to realized it. And it takes time to grow in the knowledge of God. Don't think you will see & learn everything over night, You won't, Friend I have been serving God going on 37 yrs. & I am still learning, Many times you will feel great to be saved, & then satan comes in & tries to make you doubt your own salvation, After 36 yrs he still does that to me, he even try that with Jesus, If you truly want to be save just ask & say Lord I come just as I am, What ever you can do with this body of clay, do it for your glory. & ask God to forgive you of all your sins. Friend, Never be discourage when you don't feel like you are saved, God is still with you, But we ALL Must be Tried & tested. When you look back on your life & you see 2 sets of footprints in the sand, You know one is yours & the other is The Lord, but when Things seems to be going wrong & you feel like God is nowhere, Look back in the sand, You only see one set of footprint, Then you begin to say Lord I thought you said that you will never leave me nor forsake me, Here I am going through this test & Trial & all I see is one set of footprints, Then You can hear God say, Son that set of footprints is when you could not walk on your own, That is when I carried you through your test & trials. God is always with us, Many thinks Christians don't have test or trials, that every thing should run smooth, Friend satan will do all he can because he knows he has just a very short ime left. You can not change on your own, But God can change you & some things in your life may take a little while to get over but if you are true & sincere with God he will deliever you, It only takes a little faith, & not feelings. After 36 yrs, I still have my low points & high points, But Through it all, I know GOD is GOD & I shall stand upon the word of God.

Stop being ego-centric. In other words, realize that the universe , neither the earth or anything else revolves around you and for you alone. But realize instead that you are but a speck of dust on a speck of dust called the earth in relation to the vastness of the universe and in that be humble.

Divert yourself to do some good things not expecting in good return. All this behaviour are not by nature it is being acquired or being influence by your environment. Might be something to do with your social standing or to the family around you. Something you have been experiencing in your life since your childhood days and to fight back you have to do the same thing they are doing to you. Their should be someone to look up. Someone to encourage us to do good. For all good things work together for good.
You said I asked God to change my nature but he won't.
Maybe you are asking the Wrong God? For if you really submit yourself to the true GOD, means their is no reservation, for his plan to us is to prosper our life.

Obviously you will not change if you do not want to change.Of the 3 areas you have mentioned envy is probably the biggest fault. You might start on that one first.

You can only change yourself. Remember life is never easy for most people, so we have to compromise and give a little. Try to empathise with nature and people. You don't have to like everyone, but nobody is perfect. Good luck on your journey!

God needs to do the changing. But here's what he expects from us.
1.Admit you are a sinner. The Bible, God's Holy Word, says, "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one" Romans 3:10; also Romans 3:23 says, "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God."
2.You must realize that sin bears a penalty. Romans 6:23 states, "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Revelations 20:14 says, "And death and Hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
3. You must accept the fact that Jesus has already paid the sin debt you owe. We read in Romans 5:8, "But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Christ died to pay the penalty for your sins because He loves you and cares about you.
4. You must accept by faith what Christ has done for you. Again from the book of Romans 10:9 we read, "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt beleive in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."
Friend if you wish to know you're going to heaven ask Jesus into your heart right now. Its easy. Pray a prayer like this one: Dear God I know I'm a sinner and need forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ your Son died for me and shed His blood to pay the price for my sins. I am willing to turn from my sins. I now invite Christ to come into my heart and be the Lord of my life as my perfect Savior. Amen.
If you have accepted Christ as your Savior, then this is the beginning of a new and beautiful life for you. To help you along here are a few suggestions:
Read your King James Bible everyday to get to know Christ better.
Talk to God everyday in prayer.
Be baptized, worship, fellowship, and serve with other Christians in a church where Christ is taught and the Bible is the final authority.
Tell others about what Jesus Christ has done for you.
Christ is your only hope for heaven. Don't put off this decision. You don't know in these times how soon you might be meeting Jesus.
"Be not afraid, only believe." Mark 5:36

There is a simple meditation (METTA) that you can repeat in your mind or outloud each time you start to judge a person or situation:
May you be filled with loving kindness...
May you be well....
May you be peaceful and at ease....
May you be HAPPY ....
This little blurb has changed my life and many others ...
Hope it helps you
