I am not exactly the same but my hubby is 42 and I am 28 and we have an almost 3 year old son together. It's really subjective, some people can be close in age with or without kids and never last and some can. If things are going well with the age gap and the kids you have really good chances at a lasting relationship. Good luck and age is just a number, it's who you are and who he is that makes the difference,

Yes. Age doesn't really matter when you're in love. As long as you love him, and he loves you then it really could work out. I know someone who has an age difference of 11 years and they've been married for a long time. I guess all it takes is a lot of commitment, and you have to try to understand one another and if you have a misunderstanding, try to talk it out with him. Good Luck to you...

Sorry you've had stupid answers so far.
Yes I think it can last. This guy has already taken a lot on with your 3 kids, and has gone on to commit himself further by having his own child with you. And as you both get older, you will find that the gap will close on its own.
Good luck.
Merry Christmas.
PS I only meant the 1st 2 answers are stupid. These guys are getting on my nerves.

Yes! My husband (of 7 years) is eight years older than I. Age is just a number. If you and he are in love and feel comfortable with each other--that's all you need!!

Possibly. What is his level of maturity? Can you respect him as a man despite his age? Will you still respect him when he makes mistakes that everyone is bound to make from time to time? Answering these questions of yourself will help you to understand if this particular relationship will last.

It sure can, age will not make or break your relationship. Only differences of opinions, character as with any relationship regardless of age!

Get out of it, especially if you're divorced, which it sounds like. You're so far too old for him even without all of the baggage, that it's not even funny. I would recommend seeing a psychiatrist.
