TALK to her. No texts. no phone calls or emails etc.
If the relationship isn't that serious than just say. I've enjoyed getting to know you but things aren't working out. I think it's time for us to end our relationship. (or something to that effect)
If it is serious. Be open and honest and make sure she is completely clear. After all as you can see on this board there are women who put up with bad relationships and abuse to hang onto hope in a relationship that is over.
Tell her that things aren't working out and both of you need to move on.

Whatever your reason is: I've always found this excuse a classic one, " Sorry, I don't feel the same about you anymore." If she asks why: Tell her, "I don't know. My feelings have been slowly fading."
It sounds lame, but true in some cases. I at one point really felt this way towards my ex and that I didn't have any other reasons to tell him.

Be gentle but direct with the REAL reason why you want to break up.

Nicely but to the point. 'Look it's just over between us' sort of thing. Best over the phone and then she can't hit you or worse.-
