In my relationship, yes, sex is important, but if you don't think sex is important, that can work too if you find a partner who feels the same.

End of the day, mutual agreement is most important in a relationship.

Sex is important in a loving and caring relationship. But it should not be entered into lightly it should not be the basis of the relationship but something that adds to it. Sex should not be everything in a relationship, if it is then problems will ensue.
