Put the Alarm clock across the room and place something behind it so the noise 'echoes' and is amplified.
You have to get up to turn the bloody thing off anyway so you might as well stay standing.

If you do not live alone you can have someone make a deal with you. Have a penalty jar. And for every morning you do not get up when your alarm goes off, you have to deposit $1 in the jar. At the end of the week the person who got up on time the most, gets to collect all the money in the jar.

I don't know if this is a good answer or not, but I've sat my alarm clock way across the room, so in order to shut it off, I had to get out of bed. (you know how annoying that alarm sounds). Maybe even in another room, but make the alarm loud enough so you can hear it, and it is annoying to you.

The best thing to do is set 2 alarms... one by the bed and one across the room. Set them a couple minutes apart, with the one by the bed to go off first. That way, it wakes you and you are somewhat awake by the time the 2nd one goes off and you are forced to get out of bed to go and turn it off.

I agree with Wolfie, make sure your alarm is loud enough to wake you in the first place and put it out of reach so you have to get out of bed to turn it off, make sure your alarm has a very annoying tune so you get up quicker to turn the damn thing off.

This is learned behavoir. Obviously in your family there was no expectation that you were supposed to get up or act according to a schedule.
Just do it. After 21 days straight, you can develop good habits.

You can do it slowly by putting one leg out of the bed then another. Or do it quickly by just jerking yourself up fast and getting it over with.

It has to do with reluctance to face the day, most likely.
