Yes. There is a permium on wild pig's meat. It has flavor. Unfortunately most Americans find the flavor to strong.

I recommend taking it to a processor and getting it smoked cut etc.
The bacon, if smoked properly(hickory), and sausage are just to die for. Also I like the pork chops. but the roasts I had stunk like a pigs behind (pun intended).

Very. If you don't care for the "wild" taste, soak it in a lemon-lime carbonated soda for 24 hours before cooking. It is terrific if smoked!!

They quickly revert to their original state very similar to wild boar. Fantastic to eat if cooked properly. Stewed is my favourite.....
