Other that weight gain and loss, can you get them from eating too much at the one time so your stomach is too full? because surely that would stretch your stomach skin temporarily.

When your skin stretches too quickly. If you gain too much in a short period of time. Hence the stretch marks on pregnant women and their bellys. I lost a lot of weight and they went away, but there were light white marks still there. But those reddish marks sure left.

vitamin deficiencies and probably not enough EFA's..

some people get them when they gain weight and others when the lose weight..
