When I was cleaning my bathroom a couple of days ago I think I got a bit of Cillit Bang on my thumb as it is now become tender and a bit red. Most of the swelling has gone down and it's not as painful but I am a bit worried. Has this happened to anyone else and how long did it take for the swelling and redness to go away? PS Ouch.

Maybe an allergic reaction? I would try cleansing the area with hydrogen peroxide or rubbing alcohol. If the swelling doesn't go down then see a doc. I have an allergic reaction to EVERYTHING. For future references, you should try using Method. It is a natural household cleanser that not only works well, but smells good. Hmm...cucumber melon.

do not put anything on that thumb, as someone has suggested,it could make the problem worst..

i would go to the doctors because an allergic reaction needs antihistamine, if that is what happening.

i just been to read the information on cillit bang, it has cossh sign on it orange back ground with a big black cross underneath the word irritant. safety information avoid contact with skin.

may i suggest that the next time you use this produce, please use gloves, because that is what i do when using chemicals.

Yeah sounds like an allergic reaction.

Get some aspirin, mix it with water to make a paste, cover your thumb in it and wrap it in a bandage for a while.

Once you've washed it off apply some savlon or germonlene.

If you go to the docs they'll just give you cream and antihistamine!

i'm a woman and that i exploit men's shaving cream by using fact it particularly is made for the extra delicate dermis on the face. And as quickly as each and every week (or extra commonly in case you like) when you shave, placed toddler oil on your legs whilst they are nonetheless moist. it will look after razor burn and dryness.
