Ignorance is the reason behind such stupid protests!

Ignorance about Islam, Ignorance about humanity............these people are the blind leading the blind.

the Law of 4 witnesses has NOTHING to do with rape. it's for adultery which in fact makes it harder to convict a woman of adultery.

think about it. if someone comes out of the blues and accuses a woman of committing adultery. then the Islamic court would ask this accuser to present 4 male adult witnesses other wise the accusation will not be considered.

Rape cases are totally different according to Islam. the woman is the victim and she is treated accordingly. the rapist usually gets executed or lashed.

Pakistan distorted the Law and made up their own Laws which have nothing to do with Shariah. why are men protesting??!!! because they are ignorant morons. that's why.

This is a great new law and much needed for women. The protests are merely men hee-hawing. I am a Muslimah and am glad for it.

See, it would make it more difficult to get away with raping women.

*gives you an "isn't that self-explanatory" look*

If you go around empowering women, pretty soon they're going to start demanding the ability to choose when the sex happens. And then when they realize that they have that power, they'll start demanding the right to enjoy it. Then we have to read the Kama Sutra (a HINDU book) and do a bit more than pump-pump-shoot and that takes effort and creativity.

Duh.

Good question.

*a freakin' huge thumbs up from Beelzebub*

All the best,

Laz

so glad it was passed
but I think the misunderstanding is from the Koran itself. I don't think it set out to be anti-woman, but because it was not divinely written it did not see how this law would be so badly taken out of context. Most fully muslim countries have this law if I''m not m istaken.

Rape is a crime of power, not a religious ritual borne out of Islam.

Nice try, but no cigar.
