hi, i am a newie to this burning dvd thing, but last night i downloaded a movie with limewire then tried to put it on disc with burn4free. i have tried to play it on my dvd player and it says cannot play??? i then tried to play it on my portable player and it plays only the sound with a black screen, can anyone help please???xxx

i bet it works on your pc you have to burn it so that it will play on a dvd player i have sonic and that burns films tthat will play on dvd and by the way if i was you i would scan every thing you down load with limewire there are loads of viruses on it try bit lord

If you downloaded an avi, usually around 700MB in size for a film, then it needs converting to DVD before you burn it.

it needs converting, does burn 4 free do that?
it needs to be a .vob file. use neodvd or ultraavi converter. then burn with nero

did you finalise the disc? if not it won't play. Put the disc back in your computer and pull up your dvd durn program and finalise the disc.
