I stopped therapy and meds last year. Cold turkey. I stopped after being so frustrated and my life fell apart. I cut communication with my shrink. Packed all my stuff and moved to another city. I was manic-dep. I had a lot of energy, especially with sports which was my natural high. I had a lot of energy with a lot of things but I was on the other side too depressed. Anyway, after quitting all those, I found myself lacking energy. I guess I am stable, no panic attacks no depressive attacks. But stable more on the lethargic side. I no longer can give much to a lot of activities and I tend to be more tired most of the time. I do not know what's happening. I don't wanna see any doctor for now. I am scared. I used to be super sexually active but now, it's almost gone. I'm 27 now. I'm thinking could it be age too that I had so much might when I was young and now I'm 27 I could have gone too old. I don't know. Thanks.

I too am bipolar, and stopped all my meds as well, because of other health issues, and I also stopped cold turkey. I am finding the same thing, I'm lethargic as well. I want to sleep too much. I really don't feel depressed, nor am I manic. I feel stable right now. When I want more energy, I buy energy drinks and take energy pills. I'm not sure that is a good thing either. If I had seen your comment in here a few months ago, I would have reprimanded you for not taking your meds and not doing therapy. I haven't done therapy on a regular basis for a while now. I thought I needed my meds, and I probably do. But, I have one kidney, and all the mood stabilizers goes through the kidney, and I'm in chronic kidney failure now. So, I'm just going to have to learn how to deal with the bipolar without meds. I also was getting over dosed on the meds because of the kidney. But I also am a recovering alcoholic and use the 12-Step program on a daily basis. I have 8 yrs. of recovery time, but I find the program helps me in keeping my moods in check. My husband also is a good barometer on my moods.
As far as your sex drive, I'm 59 and am having a problem in wanting sex as well. I don't think age has any thing to do with it. I think it is the bipolar. I was quite active sexually for about 20 yrs. after my diagnosis, then the doc put me on Zoloft, which kills your sex drive, and I haven't had one as strong since then. I don't know if there is Viagra (lol) for women.

Doctors look to be all practising--existence is a bet, medications they push for the whole thing, do they appear extra? Maybe there's a connection on your arthritis? Body fights as first-rate it may well. Other problems perhaps there they usually quit watching on the first signal of discovering whatever. There has been a few bizarre study in this by way of folks with Bi-Polar in a well feel. Some discovered via exams, that they had sleep apnea, critical adequate, they honestly stopped respiring for a couple of seconds after or for the period of REM. Once that they had the correct gear, they had been competent to be like they had been and the truly rationale was once a snooze ailment. Another one could also be experimental. Getting off of all corn oil merchandise, adding corn starch cosmetics, and so forth. No popcorn, no corn flakes, no corn bread and even corn syrup. It is a rough nutrition, however two out of 10 made a difference for the well, now they consider well and no temper swings. One out of the ten additionally did away with blending dairy merchandise with hen, pork, lamb and different meats and removed all nitrate merchandise and upload forty two% Gallium nitrate, I consider they combined one hundred cc in a liter of water and divided the water blend into two days and drank everyday. This individual has performed remarkably good. I do not know if any of the above may also be your challenge, we under no circumstances understand what chemical compounds we'd like or what we now have in us that's a challenge. The nitrate received rid of immoderate calcium in her frame & different chemical imbalances that had been throwing her frame into turmoil. Also, no longer having the proper steadiness of magnesium and vit. D3 & calcium could make a change, additionally examine your phases of potassium too, low blood sugar too can mimic temper alterations. So a lot they do not examine once they discover one challenge, and do not hold checking.

Hello,

I would first like to say congratulatons on your journey of healing. I just recently started learning about chakras. They say that you can heal yourself. One thing that is very important is to love yourself. Going through this process I found myself learning things about myself, not good things, to release all the pain and all the bad energy that causes us to feel down and out, you will have to learn to accept yourself. Try and mediatate, go online learn about the chakras and start the healing process. Relationships are not so good when your going through this process, they tend to cloud your mind. Focus on yourself. Learn how to love you for you. Of course it is not an easy task. I still have a long way to go. Learn about your seven chakras.
As far as sex, by 27, well i hear that men are at a sexual peak 16-24. So you go figure. Masterbate there's nothing wrong with it.

The brain reportedly changes again around the age of 26. Who knows for what reason it changes.

What you described sounds like you are feeling the depressed stage.

If you are scared, maybe it is time to resume therapy sessions with someone. It is important to learn cognitive skills to deal with life including the ability to moderate thinking, narrow the focus of thoughts, let go of negative thoughts and learn relaxation skills.

Maybe its time to seek other kind of healing. I would find a shamanic counselor and see where that leads. If you think that could be an option, there's a book you could read on the subject - "Welcome Home" by Sandra Ingerman.
