Well, for one thing, wine was the beverage being consumed at the wedding at Cana. This miracle was also all the more impressive because winemaking is a process that takes many months to complete when done in the normal way! In fact, we are told that this wine (which hadn't even been aged) was so much better than the wine that had been served before it that everyone was amazed that they had saved the better wine until last, rather than serving the worse wine after everyone had had more to drink and so might be less likely to notice a slight drop in quality!
(Maybe God didn't invent Coke because it isn't natural and is extremely unhealthy for the human body.)

Coke or "A coke" ? There's a big difference. Why didn't Jesus invent disco, or start a "save the whales" movement? Who knows?
