it seems like I can nmot answer anymore I keep seeing the same window why dont you ask a question...

It's never forced me to ask a question, but if you see this window all the time just ask a question(you've already done that). So you should have no problems further. By the way once you choose the best answer to your question you get nice points added to your pointlist. So be optimistic to that.

No it is not true. I have never been forced to ask any question. A few times I have chosen a section which has no questions so it come up with a message "There is no question asked. Why don't you be the first person to ask something" But I can go back to the main topic heading without having to ask anything and I can still answerother questions, no problem.

I think that in reading and answering questions asked in this forum, Yahoo "forces" you to ask YOURSELF questions about how YOU would react, handle the other person's situation if you were him/her, and/or gives you insight as to what COULD happen under certain circumstances or situations; based on the opinions of others.
Keep asking and answering questions. If you seem to have a problem with your window, give Yahoo a little more time. Usually it's just a moment or two before they catch up with you. (smile) After all, there are many people responding simultaneously, too!

Usually if you are not past your daily limit pressing the answer button again will make the list appear. I think it's more of a suggestion. That and the fact that the system is in chaos right now.

You can only answer a certain number of questions per day... You don't have to ask questions in order to answer them.

Yes, they want an even balance between answering and asking.
They want you to be involved. Stupid in my opinion. Askme.com was great but they had to shut it down.
