We should pray to God when we can,every day if possible as it is our connection to Him in an otherwise hectic world.
Prayer is a dialogue, we talk to God and He does listen,and if we are quiet and receptive then we too can hear His voice in various ways, without prayer our spiritual life is very weak indeed.
