It's all in women's genes. In evolutionary point of view, women are weaker, dependent, and also more involved with child rearing; therefore, it is natural for women to look for guys who can take care of them. In our modern time, $$$$$ is the only thing that can take care of women in every situation unlike old medival times when men also had to be strong to defend the household from other evil men or wild beasts. Sadly, because women that are like that (some aren't though) don't want to work and/ or they themselves are materialistic and want fancy and expensive things (necessitating getting a partner that can afford those things).

Women feel as though they "have" to be;
Women may feel that they need security - just in case thier own plans don't work out
Women may feel that they shouldn't have to - some women WANT to not work themselves
Women may feel competitive with other women - some women feel as though they can "one-up" another if their husband is financially HOT (women feel although the money defines them)
Women like to shop.

They know that they can have fine restaurant meals, jewelry, a big house, presents, trips, etc. if they get the right guy, or they can have a life of misery if the guy is poor or cheap.

vast generalization....but they look far ahead and also have their needs....they expect 'little' surprises all the time....which cost $$.....then again there are some which just like you for your bucks...steer clear of such women...
