1500 is not bad at all but u can rely on having problems more than you can rely on the car. notice how everything is new? thats prolly because they broke b4. ive bought and sold cars many times. id rather look for an old honda or toyota. hope this helps!!!

$1500 for a car that has 100,000 actual miles on it is a good deal.

As long as the oil has been changed every 3,000 miles; the only major thing that would go out is the transmission.

Take it for a test drive. When you get into the car, test out the transmission. Cover the brake and shift the gears to feel how smooth the transmission kicks into gear. If it is real smooth and quite, then you know the car has a good transmission. If it takes it a while or goes into reverse or drive roughly, then the transmission may be messing up. Just feel how the transmission goes into gear.

Then take a test drive down memory-lane, or wherever you want to go for about 15 minutes to make sure that the car won't get hot. Typically, a car that has problems will get hot within 15 minutes of driving.

When you are accelerating the engine, feel how well the transmission goes into first, then second, then third....... The transmission should shift smoothly and hopefully pretty quite.

Then pull into a parking lot and leave the car running for about another 15 minutes while you check out to make sure the head-lights, signal lights, brake lights,..... works as they should.

If the car doesn't show any signs of getting hot and no check engine lights are on (shown near the speed odometer) then the car is a good deal for $1500 considering it only has 100,000 actual miles on it.

$1,500 for just about anything that starts, runs and is street legal is a good deal. Buy it and enjoy. But remember, you bought it "as-is" so if anything goes wrong (even 5 minutes after it`s yours) is not her fault, and you have no recourse. That`s the only problem with buying cars from friends, relatives, co-workers etc. Good luck.
