Well, first you have to have a CD burner on your computer. If you don't have, you can't burn CD's.

Your CD Burner, if you have one, will have come with software. Use that, or download an alternative like Nero or Roxio or CloneCD.

If you don't have a CD Burner, you will need to puchase one.

Poorly worded question, but if you are trying to burn cd's it doesn't matter what version of windows you have for the most part. You have to make sure that you have a CD RW (or a DVD RW). Some good software to burn cd's is Alcohol 120% or Nero. Both are good once you learn to use them. Alcohol 120% is not quite as user friendly, but it can do a lot of other cool things as well though.

Nero is very good and pretty popular - It also works on win 98 - just select the option while installing or before installing (as the option is provided)

I used nero on win 98 quite a long time till I migrated to higher version of OS

Also there are many version of nero, check with its site or simply go to www.download.com
