GOOD FOR YOU!

"The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God."

"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom."

And, judy, yes, hell is in the Bible. Maybe you'd better go back and read it again! As a rule, atheists probably don't fear hell--but maybe they should!

I don't believe in God, Heaven, or Hell. If I don't think that there is a Hell, then surely logic will tell you that I'm not afraid of Hell. How can you be afraid of something you don't believe in? I stopped being afraid of the Bogey man when I out-grew the story. Please take note of the key words here, I OUT-GREW the STORY! Maybe you should too.

To say that you were completely wrong would be inconsiderate as you are in fact a "fool" (your words, not mine). Oh, and please check both your spelling and grammar before attempting to prove us wrong, at least that would strengthen your case...somewhat.

That's exactly what I thought. If you believe that Jesus Christ was indeed your Lord and Saviour and the son of God, it seems to me that you're pretty much covered. Since most other religions seem to dictate that leading a good full life in favor of you and your fellow men will allow you access to their version of Paradise, then you're pretty much covered anyway, since that's what the teachings of Christ try to instruct. If it turns out that if atheists are right and there's no God and all you do is rot in the ground after you die, it's not as if following any religion is going to help change that, right? Why stop doing what you're doing if it's going to have no affect on your future no matter what you do?

The only problem I have with the answer you give, is that God knows your heart and if you say you believe but really don't, it will do you no good either. You have to establish a relationship with God and you have to have Jesus in your heart, and as your Savior and you have to truly know that this is for real. Just believing is not enough, as satan too believes in God and knows Jesus and knows the Bible and knows it is true.

Anyway, you are right about what you say to the atheists, just that they have to do more than just believe.

That's called Pascal's Wager. It's inherently flawed because nobody can say *which* god to believe in is right--and if you're believing only to save yourself, then faith in any particular one isn't going to matter much, and you're right back to square one.

Pascal's Wager seems to imply that there is a fifty-fifty chance of the existence of a god. Seeing as there are several hundred million gods one could believe in, it seems to me that not believing is actually a far more logical choice.

So you are saying Atheists should "pretend" to believe, just to be on the safe side? That's full of sense.

I've never seen an Atheist worry about going to hell. They don't believe in it, so why should they fear it???

"if you athist do`nt belive in god why do you wory so much about going to hell."

We don't believe in God... so we don't believe in Hell either.

Your argument is called the Pascal's Wager. It doesn't work.

Oh... and learn grammar.

Atheists DON'T worry about going to hell. its you born again bigots that insist they do. Atheists, and even some Christians don' tbelieve in hell. After all, we've read the bible, and its not in there, except the dream in revelation, And that's ONLY A DREAM, not reality.
