Dating is supposed to be a method of getting to know a member of the opposite sex more intimately. Why marry someone you don't know? No one says you HAVE to bone your date on the first night out. :S

Only the people in the western countries are go for dating, But in India most marriages are arranged marriages. They just obey the parents wish and marry the person, They have full support of the family. So no question of dating arise here, Sometimes the couple will meet each ohter before marriage nd talk about their marriage and future, it is not called dating. In Bible times there were no dating. The marriages were arranged marriages only. For example, Isacc, and jacob"s marriage. It is said in the Bible not to look any one with lust in their mind, if they do it is meant he had done the prostitution. So sex before marriage is not allowed by God.

well if you want to get married than you have to date!!!
but according to the bible you are forbidden to have sex before marriage, but that doesn't mean you cant date without sex. that's what all the religious Jews do and i think it works out OK for them!!
(you should know that they have a very low divorce percentage)

No it is not forbidden if I remember correctly, but one has to understand the possibly consequences of such a thing.
Dating does not always lead to sex, by the way. Sex should be considered as a way of reproducing, and for humans, pleasure.
If a person is not ready to have a child, they simply should not have sex unless of course, they plan on having children later on.

ONE) Not all the time does dating lead to sexual intercourse.
TWO) How else do you expect to know someone enough to marry them without first dating them? It's kind of like test-driving a car. (I know, sorry....quite crude metaphor).
THREE) Not everyone is Christian, so therefore not everyone will follow the Bible.
Hopefully, those three reasons were good enough for you.

Dating basically developed from courtship. While the end result of courtship was to develop an intimate relationship, it did not generally involve sex until some decision was reached. As always, different cultures have different practices.

There are people like myself who do not believe we should adhere to the code of conduct handed down by religious authorities or in religious texts because we don't believe in God. My wife and I were tearing it up for years before we got married, and we don't have a single regret.
I will ring your doorbell and run away!!!

No, it does not say that exactly. If you have sex, then basically you are married. But lust is the same so we are all ******! Repenting is the only way to save ourselves.
