Yes the egg would be in the same and same old spot unless and until compelled by any external force like wind, someone's hand ,etc. This incident has an explanation:
The Earh rotates. It's true and there are many proofs, such as, the SUN seems to move from east to west everyday because of the west-to-east movementr of Earth. Now,the egg, which apparently has zero mass compared to that of Earth, does not move with the gradual(seems gradual ,but extremely fast) movement of the ground it is lying on.

NO it doesn't. I know because I'm on the earth. Everything revolves around me. Therefore space revolves around the earth while it's sitting still just as I am now.

So yes your egg will be in the same spot because the surface it is sitting on (earth ) is not moving.

:-)~

The egg also rotates around the earth's axis because it sticks to the ground.

It's like the body of the car. The wheels are the one that moves but the car's body also moves because it's attached to the wheels.

No, the earth is flat. The heavens revolve around the earth. Eggs are flat too.

The earth rotates around its axis and then around the sun..Do you think if we leave our cars outside for a month and come back, they would be in a diff. spot? I think not

If the earth stood still? The sun wouldn't rise in the morning.
And disappear (set) in the evening.

fill a bucket full of water and swing it in a circular motion over your head, if you do it fast enough you wont get wet. that is how the earth rotates. hogs
