God is perfect, therefore every star in the sky was placed with perfect precision exactly where it was meant to be. So what significance does the placement of the stars have if it's not to do with astrology.
This was not meant to be a religious debate, just act like god exists if your and athiest, and make a hypothesis.

I believe that the position of the moon, the planets, the stars, the sun, all have effects on us as Humans, created by a Perfect Creator. It is very possible that He has placed every star, every planet in the exact place they are in so that we may always be able to look at His Power and what He is capable of doing.
Another reason is that because God is Science, He is Logic, and He is Mathematics, it was required that He place the planets and stars where they are as to "keep a balance".

Just some thoughts...

Astrology is defined as "the study of planets and human behavior: the study of the positions of the Moon, Sun, and other planets in the belief that their motions affect human beings" (Encarta, 2006).

Astronomy is defined as "the scientific study of the universe, especially of the motions, positions, sizes, composition, and behavior of astronomical objects. These objects are studied and interpreted from the radiation they emit and from data gathered by interplanetary probes" (Encarta, 2006).

The stars (as you so rightly stated) are perfectly placed by God and humans are made in the likeness of God, but trying to determine the stars and their positions in relation to human beings is an attempt to state that without the movement of the stars an individual cannot overcome a sinus infection (for example). One does not have anything to do with the other.

Our minds are pattern-seeking entities: one of the consequences of this is a tendency to read into patterns a significance that doesn't really exist.

Belief in astrology is an example of this phenomenon.

I believe in astronomy. I am entertained by astrology but don't focus on it. If astrology is taking my focus away from God and God's plan for me, then that obviously isn't right. That's my view on that.

We simply don't see God, as God is too great for our eyes and our minds.
