I sincerely hope that by now you have gotten some sleep, but if you haven't look at it this way, watching them at "riot" is more entertaining than sleeping any way and cheaper than going out. Next time try to find something to distract them from the riot, like petting one or two of them until they calm down. Don't reward them by giving them a treat because they will then get to thinking that the way to treats is mass riots. We will grab a toy that one of the kids is interested in and try to distract at least one and then usually the others will decide that it isn't as much fun with out the whole family involved.

Wow. Four cats would give me some kind of hernia. I can hardly keep up with perpetually shooing two cats off the kitchen counter.
Y!A is sometimes more fun than sleep anyway. :o) Say hello to your rioters for me and tell them they should not riot because they have it better than they will ever know.

God, you must live somewhere in the Pacific. If you're still up, you will know that you're not gonna get any sleep until you go to bed. I hope your cats settle down, Don't you love cats?

Try putting them in diffrent rooms. What exactly are they doing anyway? Do they have food and water? Is their litter pan in need of cleaning? Are they the type of cats that like your affection or are they the stand offish types?

Do they just have the "night crazies" that is what I call it. Try playing with them. They are just excited because you are home. If they don't seem to mellow out just close your door.

Probably not. Spend a bit of time with them before you go to bed though, I bet they missed you!
