So god would feel no remorse for sending a innocent person (lived a very respectful life) to hell? Than how do we know which is heaven and which is hell if a good person is sent down to hell??

I am fully atheist, I just want to know how some branches of the Christian religion can believe this notion.

Christians ca`nt make that call.it`s what Jesus said,the only way to heaven is through him.to not choose him is your choice to go to hell,no one Else's.it dos`nt matter if you are a good person or not.you can walk as a poor man,or ride to the airport in a fancy car but if you do`nt have a ticket you do`nt get on the plane.

Different Christians believe different things. But yes, many Christians do believe that.

I was raised catholic, and the official position of the Catholic church is that if you are not exposed to catholicism and you lead a good life then you will not go to hell, but if you are exposed and you reject it, you are going to hell. The position in that case is that you can't help it if you are never exposed to the full truth but if you are exposed to the full truth you have no excuse for not living it.

Of course, personally I think the most Christlike person of our time (Ghandi) was not a christian, so I keep a more open mind about other faiths and people.

I will say however that I do believe there is a spiritual moral code - and internal struggle against extreme selfishness, and do think hell awaits those who commit extreme selfishness in life (which is what we call evil) unless they learn to reject those ways and repent. It is something we all struggle with, and try to help each other overcome.

However, I would like to address the rest of the "CHRISTIANS" answering this post...
Jesus was angry with the Pharisees for living the "letter of the law but not the heart of the law".
He said "he who is without sin cast the first stone".
He sat and eat with prostitutes, killers and thieves - not to condone the behavior but to help them.

The heart of the law in non-judgement, so are we as christians living that when we focus so much on dogma?

Maybe u are leading an honest life, but if u dont in believe in God and whom put u here in the first place thats like ur rejecting God, sometimes it does not matter how good of a person u r, if u dont worship and follow the God way then ur against him and ruled by Satan who is the enemy of humanity, u might be good person and no harm to anyone but u can be that way anyway by believing in God and religion, because relgion is peaceful and tells u how to live a peaceful honest and good life in the right way, there are things u can do like good deeds and be more of a good person if u accept religion and worship God, because end of the day no matter how a good of a human u are if u dont belive in relgion/God u will never be good as a religious way, religion makes u a better person, it shows you that u respect and obey who put you here in the first place, u wont do the things which God askes u do if u are not a believer and them things can get u to heaven, if u can be a good honest person then why not follow relgion which shows u how to be good person,, better person, making ur life better and others, and gainign more reward in after life, sometime u have to work that bit harder and be more honest to get a reward and go Heaven, thats what God asks us to do, if u belive and follow then u cant do nothing wrong at all, because u know what is required in this life and how u have to be, u might aswell follow religion if ur already being a good human being and honest, u got nothing to lose by it, maybe it show u more of a peaceful life , more of determination, make u more spritualy a good human being, go for it i try, u got the bases of it so why not find out more of how to be good human, which is by relgion, relgion tells you and guides u how to be good person, u love somwone who loves u back, but as relgion says love ur ememy aswell, or if u jst love sumone who loves u back,m then where is the reward in that, u get me wat im saing, this is what Jesus said, thought im not a Christain but Muslim, but share many principles , morales, repsect. so i advice u to do research and make most of ur goodness and go into relgion, PEACE"".

Romans 3:11- None is righteous, no not one...

You are not innocent.

Romans 3:2- For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God...

There is no such thing as a good person, as the verses above prove. Good people will be in hell. But it is because they have never repented. Heaven is for saved people. Saved in the sense of, they did repent of their sins. So, I strongly suggest that you repent of your sins. Hell is not a good place to be in. It is a place of "weeping and gnashing of teeth." (Mt. 8:12)

thats only what the dumb christians believe. christians are like any other group of people, every single one is different

im pretty sure your not going to hell no matter what kind of god you believe in. as long as its not destroying your life or causing you to lead a bad mean life, then i dont think it matters what you believe, when you die you'll be fine

we all need something to believe in and there is no way we're going to make everyone believe in the same thing so theres no point in trying to and theres no logic in saying everyone that doesnt believe in the true god is going to hell

but then you have these stupid christians that WILL tell you that your going to hell, just ignore them, they give us a bad name

on behalf of all the christians that hate those kind of christians, i apologize and i hope they shut up and stop telling people shi't like that

If I kill somebody but I don't know it's a crime, do I go to jail? So the judge would feel no remorse for sending a inocente person to jail? Since you don't have God in your heart, you're already in hell. But when the time comes God is going to judge you according to what is in your heart, because believe it or not, He is fair.

God loves all his creatures. You must believe in some god if you believe in Hell, there is no hell without heaven. If you truly didn't believe in god or some higher power you wouldn't be worried about it.

don't believe a;; that garbage about going to hell. john-paul the second stated flat out in public that anyone not roman catholic was going to hell. you'll be in good company because there are a whole lot heading down if he's right, which he isn't and he may just be the only one there when we arrive.

My friend, it does not matter what I or anyone here says...what matters is what does the GOD you do not believe in says.

Romans chapter 1

16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord

Now the good news is that God says He will reveal Himself to anyone who seeks Him.

Matthew 7:8

For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

We did not say it...and GOD does not send someone there...they chose to go because they chose to deny truth

Obviously they have never read the parable of the good samaritan, or don't have the where-with-all to grasp its meaning. Sadly, I fear the latter is true.
